From Screentime to Scenetime

Time. A limited resource. Has a definite start and a very definite end. And as we know well, anything limited is immensely valuable.

Screentime (noun): the amount of time someone spends looking at an electronic device with a screen, such as a computer, television or cellphone.

In the already limited “time” one has on the earth, there is NO scope for a subset such as ‘screentime’ stealing from our already limited resource and leaving us drained and depleted.

Don’t plug into the ether of a lesser world.

Rather, plug out to experience the rawness and reality of the only world given to us by the Creator.

Using devices excessively and obsessively wandering by clicking into the small square of the many applications on your phone is like handcuffing your mind into a house of glass where you’ve lost your true identity in the many reflections and projections being fed you. All this accomplishes is decreased happiness and satisfaction, and increased discontentment and drained exhaustion achieving nothing. It’s like you embarked on a quest to climb a mountain but then stopped at the bottom, took out your phone in order to watch someone else climb the mountain.

You should not want to turn into a confused amalgamation of what the media suggests you should be, but rather reflect like a cow chewing grass, meditative to the beautiful complexity and become the most authentic version of yourself.

Limited screen time because it’s the real Scene-time.

The 2-minute reel can fill you up just as the ‘wholesome goodness’ of the 2-minute noodle! Think about it.

Enjoy viewing life through those wondrous glassy eyes.

Being passive can cause a serious lack of grounding and disorientation.

Own the tile you stand on and conquer mightily in the real scheme of time and space.

It’s a humbling shame if the cow defeated you by a stunning margin by having a more meditative and ponderous mindset.

We surely must limit our screentime. The virtue of patience and poise is a timeless human trait that must be tapped in, especially in the generation we live in.

I am not saying I am going to switch to a dumb phone. I’m saying I’m gonna stop using my phone like a dumbass.

The devices are phenomenal tools if used aptly for strong purpose — there must be an endgame to everything we undertake.

Current Reality > Confused Reality.

Press the brakes on your screen time and accelerate your real life.
